Young Int’l basketball/academic search

Every year, thousands of ball players graduate from high school level schools from all around the world.  They want to compete and combine their athletic ability in basketball with their high school level educational background and pursue a higher level in both basketball and also receive a higher level diploma either in the U.S.  or in Europe or in Middle and/or S. America or Canada or Asia.

To receive a possible basketball scholarship we have some tips on how to increase your chances of being selected to receive one of those coveted positions. First, you need to maximize your basketball skills. Every day that you are not getting better, someone else is going that extra mile or kilometer to be better than you. You have to work and practice to become the best player you can be. Work on your skills, be in condition and get stronger in the weight room.  The jump from high school to college is a big jump. The players are bigger, stronger, quicker, and obviously more experienced. The game is longer, faster and more physical than anything you may have experienced so far in your life,  so you need to work to be ready and prepared!

Basketball recruiting has changed drastically over the past two decades. Rules that universities have to abide by have become very precise and restrictive. The pressure to get commitments from players has resulted in players deciding earlier and earlier on what schools they are going to attend. It is no longer enough to be a good player with your high school level team. Universities need to identify prospects earlier and earlier in their career. Coaches now go to places where they can identify and evaluate multiple prospects at one time. The places for that have become AAU tournaments in the U.S. but also high profile international “ summer recruiting camps” all over the world.

These high profile “recruiting camps” are camps that are held during the summer months in Europe, U.S., Asia and S. America. All major private basketball shoe companies have their own summer camps to attract top high-level players, which in turn, attract college recruiters. These are private camps, not camps owned by universities, colleges or high schools. They usually offer excellent instruction and very competitive games. Summer basketball has become the most significant aspect of recruiting. At no other time can a coach go to one spot and evaluate anywhere between 50-200 players at one time. If you want to get one of these scholarships, you need to be where the coaches are at.  We can help you with the selection of summer camps all over the world and can bring you in contact with international coaches.

If you are considering a university in the U.S. most coaches will do nothing unless you are registered with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse. This NCAA organization determines whether you are academically eligible or not to play at university level.  This is especially important for you. We can and will help you with this registration and support you in your quest for the two most important aspects of your life right now, basketball and a degree in higher education,  so that you can excel in both of them.

If you are interested in attending an international  university abroad, outside of the U.S.,  and then in Europe, Asia, Canada or South America we can also help you come in contact with basketball camps, coaches and well known popular national clubs whom work together with universities to provide their local student/athletes the best of both worlds.
